EV Charger Installation

Interested in learning more about how the process of installing an EV charger works? It couldn’t be simpler. With every project we undertake, we always follow the same, five-step programme:

  1. Each project begins with a simple phone call, in which we’ll take time to understand your circumstances and requirements. We’ll also choose a time and a date to visit your property to carry out a comprehensive site survey.
  2. During the site survey, we will factor in calculations about how much power your property currently uses and how a car charging point would affect that. This helps us to determine whether or not approval from the relevant authorities is required for your unique situation.
  3. Armed with that information, we’ll supply you with a quote for our work. The government discount will already be subtracted from the total amount and there are no hidden fees or charges, meaning the price you see is the price you pay.
  4. If you’re happy to go ahead, all that’s required is the payment of a deposit and we can schedule a date and time that is convenient for you to carry out the work. Although each job is different, a typical installation takes between two and four hours, so your system will be up and running and ready to use within a single day.
  5. After the job is complete, we’ll perform a thorough functionality test, as well as explaining to you how the charger and the phone app which accompanies it works. All you need to do is pay the outstanding balance and we’ll handle the paperwork in obtaining the government subsidy. What could be simpler?

EV charger options

As approved installers of chargers made by two different manufacturers, we can offer our customers the best products in the business. Due to the ease of installation, the excellence of their customer service and the fact that their chargers do not require any specialised parts, we recommend Zappi for most situations. However, we are also certified to install Pod Points chargers as well, which are available at the customer’s discretion.

You can choose between a tethered or untethered charging point, as well as between a 7kW and an 22kW unit. Although the smaller charge might not sound as attractive, it is more suitable for 95% of situations. All chargers are available with a black or white finish to suit your personal preferences, while each unit comes with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
